    cdcovers.cc

Sorry if this is on the wrong forum, but does anyone know what is going on with the cdcovers.cc site? It was down on wednesday but it's back now , anyway I downloaded a cover and the next thing I get is a PayPal bill for 5 US Dollars in a language I think was Dutch . Now I don't know what you lot think but IMHO anybody who gives their card details to a site in a foreign language which they do not understand is pretty soon going to be broke! So I zapped it . Now when I try to get back on the site I get the message " You don't have permission to access this site" ! Any ideas?

Further to my post about cdcovers cc, I decided to make a donation of 20 Euros with my PayPal Account. Hey Presto !! It's working again.! - and I thought this was a free service. Still never mind its well worth the money.

I think you've just been bamboozled! I had no problems with the site and just now got two covers from them.

A suggestion for you, instead of right clicking and saving as, right click and 'copy' and then paste into a folder on your harddrive. Now if you are not able to do this, something else is trying to get your credit card account info so you'd be best advised to be very cautious!!!

Good advise MBK, I think you are right. I use cdcovers all the time and once I blocked the pop ups, I never had any problems at all.

I would do a good virus/spyware scan and clean out all your cache and cookies, and watch that credit card, hopefully it didn't fall into the wrong hands!

I would call the cc company and tell them what happened. If you've been with the cc company a while, they will take the charges off and watch your account for you!

Actually I cancelled my PayPal Account 10 mins after I made the payment,
but was too late as the payment had been taken, but at least the rest of my cash is safe - I hope! Once bitten twice shy.

I use that site almost exclusively and have never seen that happen to me or anyone else I know who uses it. Sounds like a scam to me.

I would cancel the card NOW!!!!!!!!!

It may be too late already. Identity theft is probably the worst crime as your life will be destroyed as you know it!

So phone the CC company and stop payment to pay pal!!

Sorry if this has been posted before, but as I cant post yet. Not yet 50.

Does anybody know about covers.box.sk? Have they shut down?

I have a few cover sites handy but like covers.box.sk for the high resolutions.

                    Thanks.
