Leatherman super tool

This is way... way off topic from dvd's.
But i understand some of you members are mechanically inclined.
I was looking to get a Leatherman "Supertool", but think it has been discontinued?
It appears that the new Supertool is now the "Surge".
Anyone have any experience/knowledge with Surge??
Thanks in advance.
(Hope i have not gone too far astray.)

I checked the dealer locator, looks like my local walmart sells it, as well as online.

EDIT: I guess that is not actually the "Supertool". Looks like they "upgraded" it!

My local walmart used to sell it, but not anymore.
Your link confirms that Supertool has been retired, and replaced i guess by the Surge.

The only experience I have had with a Leatherman product is with the micra. Great key-chain companion. All metal, no plastic parts, still going unlike many Victorinox's I've had the plastic parts break with.

I have been using this tool for years made by Victorinox:

Explore the world of perfect Swiss quality online. Home of the Original Swiss Army knife. Order online.

I love it. Might be an alternative to the Leatherman series.

The Leathermans' are nice, but I've always been a Swiss Army Knife fan myself!

Now they even come with LED light & Memory Stick! A lot more advanced than the one I got for christmas when I was a kid - I thought the spoon was a big deal then! lol

Actually, I'm looking for one with a fork and a spoon. Do they make those anymore?

You call that a knife?!? Now, this is a knife!!!

Dennis Pireta, Wenger’s marketing director put it succinctly when he noted, “This is not exactly going to win any awards for lightest, smallest or most efficient tools…” The knife is a brute, weighing 2 pounds, 11 ounces and measuring 8.75 inches. But don’t worry, it has a key ring so you can carry it on a belt loop.
Wenger set the price at $1,200. Each knife must be ordered individually through the company.

That can't be real. How in the world are you even supposed to hold the thing? It's either been photoshopped or it's a novelty item. What the world is 80. Special Key?

That thing needs to come with a needle and thread so you can sew your hands back together after using it.

I have about 5 of the leathermans all different sizes and such because they give them out every year around christmas and quarterly safety contacts, but Gerber also makes some good multitools...

Since 2003, Gerber-Tools.com has the best prices and selection on Gerber, Bear Grylls, and Winchester brands. We have laser engraving machines and commercial embroidery machines to personalize your order!
