      The "b" drive was typically used for copying things from one diskette to another. For example in DOS:

      A:\>Copy anyfile.exe b:

      would copy any file.exe to the b drive.

        I put a second floppy in a few years ago just to try that, never worked worth a darn, cd's or dvd's no problem
