Need help picking a computer course

Just thought some of you could help me pick out what computer class to take next year.

The schedules were supposed to be due tomorrow, but since we have a snow day, I'm not sure.

I was thinking maybe Web Design 1 and 2?

What do you guys think?

How about talking to the "powers to be" about starting a new beta class on the latest procedures and testing on how to back-up a HD-DVD and a
Blue-Ray DVD disk?

The parent class would fall under "Programing and hacking latest procedures"

Probably wind-up being the MOST POPULAR computer class.


Are not, the high schools of today, supposed to be teaching the methods of stopping corruption by large corporations and lobby groups.
These are the REAL CLASSES high schools need today.

Since you have your own website, would you not be duplicating what you already do?? You can always take more classes if you want to.

Now when it comes to web page design, do you want to write the software that designs the web page? That is where computer science would help BUT if they are only going to teach you BASIC, you are then wasting your time. JAVA or C++ would be better training.

The better summary would be is take as many courses as you can. This will be a great exposure to the many facets there are with computers.

BTW: Do not be surprised when you start teaching the "teacher". By the threads you start here and reply to, your instructors will be trying to catch up to you!

Computer Science is Java AFAIK (I have no school today due to weather )

Web Design does HTML, I only know Geocities PageBuilder LOL, the problem is I can't take more classes... I have a hard enough time fitting in band and honors classes.

There's also classes like networking/router theory that teaches about IPs and the like.

Computer science could be cool, but does Java have any practical use? LOL
