America's Worst Shooting... Earlier today

For anyone who didn't watch the news, 32 students at Virginia Tech were killed, as well as the gunman. They said it was the worst mass shooting in America.

My mom is now all concerned, because I want to go into something technology related and it just happened to be a tech school. Lets hope more security measures are installed before I go to college in 2 years

I was just referring to social welfare cutbacks here where we opened the doors, nothing religious at all. It was a good concept of not institutionalzing people but without appropriate alternatives it failed.
You have to ask why does this happen in America? Why not OZ? Canada?

Another senseless tragedy.

It is also having a huge impact here in Canada, the 3 big Universities in Ottawa were amiss and everyone wanted to know how "we" would respond in a similar situation.

Sad to say, it happens here too...Dec 6/89 in Montreal was one of the worst.

there were warning signs of this mental case in his writings as far back as a year ago. also the sloppy performance by the school in the delayed notice 2 hours prior to the horror show cost 30 of those people their lives. the school president and police force are being praised when they should be apologizing. a full investigation is on the way thankfully.

Yeah I heard about that, the first set of shots was during the 7:00 hour. If I was anywhere near there I would have run, and not stay around so I could get shot two hours later.

If only it was that easy. Think of all the students not awake yet or spread out so far on campus they wouldn't have a clue what was and about to happen.
