    Ups---bs!!

Just thought I'd share this BS from UPS with you guys, and also help for me to vent about it.

Don't use UPS when ordering from Newegg, use FedEx for the buck or two more.

This is a screenshot of the status from today...notice the ridiculous dates!!... 10 days to deliver this small package (a DVD-RW drive and a SD card) to me!!??!!?? BS

It was UPS ground but still, Newegg shipped the day I ordered, and then it took, what 6 days!? to get from Memphis to Cali?? What'd they using? StageCoaches?? And now it's been sitting at the Ontario center for 2 days with no activity...

FedEx 3-day is only like a $1 more and it always gets to me in about three days, maybe four at the latest. Should've just stuck with FedEx instead of trying to squeeze another buck off the price...

I think this is probably just an isolated incident...1 out of a 100 maybe and I'm sure FedEx has dropped the ball a time or two, just not that you have seen. I've used both from NewEgg and don't have a gripe about either.

I thought that the first time UPS did this to me as well...I know they can get it to me in a timely manner, because they have before....But now they are at a snails pace and when I emailed them, they were pretty unconcerned about it, stating that it will get to me by the estimated date!! I mentioned to them that 'Did they know that USPS could get it to me in three days for far less in costs??'

Good thing about Newegg though is that they issued me a refund of the shipping costs the last time, and have promised to do so this time if the package gets to me on that projected 10 days and not earlier.
So sounds as if Newegg knows that UPS is dropping the ball for them more than on isolated occasions.

The first screenshot below is the first package of the same order (when I ordered my custom computer components), which did get to me in a timely manner.
Second screenshot is from the first time UPS did this to me...So this is two in a row UPS did this and they didn't seem too concerned, but Newegg did, thus their refunds of my shipping costs.

That would be my thought too; I haven't had a problem receiving items in a timely manner w/ UPS, but I will not use them for shipping, since they increase their rates so much. (fuel surcharge)?

I am in PA, & I find when shipping/receiving items to/from New York, it seems to take them longer. I wonder if it has something to do with the shipping routes & they routing that they use for those areas.

I am from Canada and when a shipping company blows the shipping time commitments, usually the sender can request a refund from the shipping company.

Email Newegg and ask for it. All it will cost is a little time. Make sure you include the facts you have from UPS.
