Question about uploading an MP3 in 128K or 192K

What is the difference when you upload an MP3 in 128K or 192K format. I have songs on my CD's that I want to make louder so I can hear them better on my MP3 Player and I am editing them with a program I have. What is the difference if I save them in 128K or 192K? Is there any at all?

128 is ok for most any portable player or low quality sound system, 192 is fine for most music on mid range playback, 320 is generally considered indistingushable from the original for even classical music on state of the art equiptment

64K is good enough for Black Sabbath

Not that much really, I'm really picky and I can't tell the difference on most things... mainly it's size.

128kbps is about 1MB/minute, 192 is obviously more. Depends if you want good quality or low size.

128K = less information thus more compression / 192K more information thus less compression. More compression = less quality...if one would go lower a Phiulharmonic studio recording would inevitably sound like u were listening to it on a small gramaphone even if u were listening to it through Klipsch Speakers or another quality speakers.

.....with accompanying Audiophile Equipment. Then there is the question of Audio in 8/16/24/32 bits, essentially the resolution of the original recording from source. Now say you were writing this answer (to your question) on paper & you went over each word 8 times with the same pen/pencil - that would be a pretty through writing...if you did so 32times that would really ensure that the stuff you wrote stood out (or that I would'nt miss it) Then if you used 128 words to complete your answer (ie 128K) well you would have condensed your answer & not been so expressive as hmm well lets 364 words or K.

Ok, I kinda got you were saying in the first post that I was so thrown off track on the second one lol. So basically I am fine with 128K or 192K? Anything below 128K it is crap lol.

As I said, it's up to you. For some songs, 128kbps is fine. For others, even 192 sounds bad. Usually I try 128, and if that sounds worse than the CD, I increase the bitrate. That's just my suggestion.
