Xbox 360 Wireless

So, I finally own an Xbox 360.

I heard Target had a promo where you could get a free $30 gift card if you bought the $300 Xbox holiday bundle (and it even comes with 2 games!)... so I took advantage of that, since I'm sure the price won't actually drop during the holiday season.

I like it so far, but one thing that really annoyed me was the fact that it doesn't have built in Wi-Fi like the Wii does. There's no way in heck I'm paying $100 for an adapter when I already have a router and whatnot.

I found this video but I think that might cost just as much.

Any suggestions? I really don't want to have to run an Ethernet cable through the walls if I don't have to... as I'm gonna be off to college before I know and that would do no good. Are there some Chinese knockoffs to that official one that do the same thing? (I got Wii component cables for like $7.99... Nintendo can just dream that people will buy their $30 ripoffs)

I can't help because I'm stuck with XBox 360 issues. I wish I waited for the PS3 to drop in price and got that. At first, I got the XBox 360 last year when I thought GTA 4 was coming out in October and then the PS3 was way too expensive. When GTA 4 was delayed to April 29th I realised I made a major blunder of the console that I bought.

At the moment I'm having problems with XBox Live working because my IP address keeps failing and I heard PS3 users don't get that hassle, I heard they are always up and away.

I asking this because I do not know if it would work or not. Is it possible to use an usb wireless connection.

Nope, you have to use the official one. (Stupid evil corporations and their moneymaking schemes!)

What I ended up doing was ordering a wireless Ethernet bridge from NewEgg.

That way, you just plug the Ethernet port into it, and it connects to your wireless network. Far more affordable, too.

Now, the thing won't arrive until Wednesday so I can't tell you how well it works... though I'll post here again once I try it out.

That is what I thought, but I thought I ask the question any way. Not surprising any way to get the most money out of the consumer.
