Stupid Forums

Has anyone joined a forum that is run in such a stupid way? I joined a GTA 4 one and the moderators sometimes close decent threads and I remember creating a thread asking people if they've noticed that Niko Bellic doesn't have a bathroom. I added that Niko must stink without showering and I mentioned where does he go to the toilet in reality terms for a laugh. I was warned by a moderator and he told me I'd be suspended if I post anything like that again. I thought "what on earth is he talking about". I never Spammed or abused anyone, I never even used bad language. I wonder what was wrong with him.

I got the same kind of thing by another moderator there over a different messages and he was acting so tough in a warning message. Well, I know he wouldn't talk to me like that in person because he'd be sorry.

This kind of thing has happened to others where some of their decent posts were closed for no reason.

People are starting fights there and the moderators let them get on with it.

Here's the best bit as in more interesting. One of the moderators there brought out a new rule about people making fun of others where the people starting this would be suspended if they make fun of others with stupid replies. I sent the moderator a "thank-you" e-mail about that because I noticed so many people had others making fun of them and the moderator warned to suspend me if I e-mailed him again. WHAT? How do people report problems of any kind if it's against the strange rules to e-mail moderators. Not to mention the moderator started a fight with me out of all people where he called me a retarded moron fag. By the way, he also threatened to suspend me because I asked if the GTA 4 The Lost & Damned will make it on the PS3. That forum is so abnormal it's incredible.

Things like what you experienced happens all the time on forums. Some forum administrators and moderators just shouldn’t be administrators and moderators. In the other light some users on forums can be a real pain in the butt. I imagine quite a few new users to this forum just can’t understand why their thread was closed due to rule 19 and never come back and think that DVF sucks. They just don’t know!
I know one way to get a bunch of people screaming at you for not saying anything wrong.
Go to ANY Linux forum and say: I want to use Linux but it’s so hard, Windows is much easier. KABOOOM!!!!! And the

I've had a lot of problems with any GTA forums in the past. I've been victim to some issues and got banned and I believe it's because the moderators were sticking-up for their friends. The previous one that I mentioned is too strange to understand.

I feel that the moderators here in this forum are fair. They don't tolerate abuse what-so-ever and I understand the Rule 19. Rule 19 involves people wanting to copy pre-recoreded DVD's that's illegal. That rule was set to stop people asking about copying pre-recorded DVD's. If the rule wasn't set and more people asked away this great forum could be closed down. I've been a member here since 2005 and I've been helped a lot with PC problems. Remember, nobody gets paid to help us here and software helplines cost a fortune. We get free help here. I have to admit, I made the odd blunders here and I understood where I went wrong and the moderators are fair here.

With the other forums such as the GTA 4 forum that I mentioned, if they were the law you couldn't even fart in your own home without being arrested.

Yes some forums are crazy like that. I posted in another forum a perfectly sound question after researching their forum. I didn't get a reply so what I did was post in another forum's subforum and they took care of it w/out a problem. I thanked the guy/gal n said I'd be on vacation by now waiting for the other forum to reply. I'm on vacation in June.

Needless to say they got back to me 3 days later or so. A suggestion would be to go to one of the more known/reputable for lack of a better word right now sites, and if they have a subforum on your topic/interest post there.

You have to remember, just because you don't always get a reply doesn't mean it's over a crazy reason, it's because whoever reads a post you send may not know the answer. It's happned here before where not everyone knows the answer to everything.

The forums that I've had more problems with are the Grand Theft Auto forums. I wonder what is wrong with people in them including those moderators that also start on people for no reason and ban them for no reason. I used to get the same in some MSN groups as well. I remember joining an MSN group where people can make more friends and out of the blue the group moderator started on me for no reason and banned me afterwards. I can't remember what that was over because it happened years ago but all I remember is, I did nothing wrong.

1 door closes another is ready to be opened. Just like women n friends. For every person that for some reason gives me a hard time or don't like me, there's 3 or more that love the heck out of me. This world's something else, but it's all we got so we have to make the very best of it. I take no prisoners anymore. I live to the fullest and go that extra mile, especially w/women.
