Something Weird going on

4000 to 5000 red wing blackbirds fell out of the sky in 2 different states, and also dead fish washed up on shore. The link below is to the full article. Something is going on, trying to blame it on the fireworks for new years. The question is if the fireworks caused it, then why did it happen only this time?

And how does fireworks affect fish?

It could be just a big coincidence, some kind of disease for the fish (since only a single species died), and also the fireworks for the birds (or perhaps some kind of toxin that only affected that single specifies of birds).

This sounds like something from the movie 2012!
