    Onboard DVD player won't read diy dvd media

    I've made DVDs on my undertele DVR7000 recording tele progs.
    I'm now trying to rip them to mpgs so my uni can shove 'em on internal servers for students to watch.
    My computer's DVD player, a Matsushita something or other, will play some media (real cheap, no label) but won't play the lilac-coloured BULKPAQ ("general purpose DVD-R 4.7GB" it says -- there's no writing whatsoever on the media that it CAN read);
    Is it just a question of drivers to be updated (had a quick look), or is it like stand-alone machines that either will or won't play and that's all there is to it?
    If the onboard DVD won't play, is it possible to get cables to link my MUSTEK player, which will play everything, to the computer.

    Many thanks, and bacon butties to all repliers.

    Bulkpaq medias are very complicated. On some DVD-ROM they play godlike on other the do not play at all. Just use other medias. It should work.

      Suggestions (for -DVR) of what to get / avoid most welcome.

        DVD-R's like Verbatim oder Traxdata can be recommended, also I can recommend the Princo Medias. The work fine in my PS2.
