    No Sound on DVD

    Please help.
I have produced a number of successful DVD burns using avi files that play perfectly from HDD on my PC and in a variety of regular DVD players.

Sadly though, I have two avi files that play correctly on my or other PC's from the HDD but when I burn the files to DVD, it does have any sound on playback?
The one avi in question is an Xvid format which I installed the Xvid application and Audio Filters to correct issues on playback on my PC, but when I burn the same file to DVD, there is no sound, the other avi in question appears to be anormal avi file but again, I have the same problem re: no sound when playing from dvd, but there is sound when playing from my hard disk?

Please can someone advise of a solution

    Thanks in advance

Chances are the Xvid-compressed .AVIs include .AC3 audio streams.

If you're using TMPGEnc to convert in your .AVI to DVD process, do the following:

Open TMPGEnc and, in the "Environmental Settings", raise the Direct Show Multimedia reader to the highest level of all listed filters...
