Dark coulors and brightness

Hi.
A small problem:
After decrypting all files from a 9-movie and using DVDShrink to shrink to a 5-movie and then using Nero for
burning I am getting much darker colours (almost black&white), also the
brightness is much darker then the original when playing on the standalone.
Any suggestions? Should it not be the same as it is only bits and bytes?

Ps. I am using dvddecrypter and the author says it can not be in the decrypt phase. Ds.

Geforce2 MX 400, 64ram.

That is most unusual. The only thought that comes to mind is poor quality media - or, perhaps, a problem with your burner...
