How to skip forward thru chapters

Hi,

I recently had 2 DVD's created professionally using Sonic MyDVD.

I can't skip forward through the chapters whilst playing the DVD.
I can only skip backwards.

The only way to advance from " say chapter 2 to 5 " is to go back
to the menu, and choose your prefered chapter.

I want to start making my own DVD's and would like to be able
to build this function into my DVD's.

Is this function not available with Sonic MyDVD or did the guy who created the DVD's not enable this feature.

Does anybody have any advice or can recommend another DVD authoring tool that can enable this function.

The terms "created professionally" and "using Sonic MyDVD" don't fit together ;>}

It sounds like the DVD was created using separate TITLES, rather than separate CHAPTERS.

If I'm correct, you should be able to use your standalone player's remote control to access the player's "Setup" or "Display" (NOT the DVD's "setup" screen) to change TITLES.


A properly authored DVD, with chapters, will allow you to go back and forth at will, as well as go directly to a specific chapter number at any time...
