How can i link a video asset to a chapter?

I'm fairly new to dvd authoring and am using sonic reel dvd to create my dvds. I would quite like to link the end of a video to a chapter so instead of having to press a button, the end of a video would automatically go to a chapter in the movie. I know that this is not possible in reel dvd.
I was wondering if you can edit the IFO file to link a movie to a chapter? Any solution to this problem would be appreciated
