No Digital Audio from TMPGEnc DVD Author

I have a ATI all in wonder 9600 pro that i use to record mpeg2 programs from satellite. When i burn them to a DVD-Video, my commercial (PROSCAN) DVD player will only play audio thru the analog(RCA) connections. I get no sound from the DVD optical digital out to my reciever.
The Audio within the MPEG file is MPEG-1, Audio layer-2, 48000 Hz stereo 2 channel, 224kbps.
Should i reencode audio using output format of the track to get it to work.

    Thanks

Your player doesn't quite support MPEG audio, encode as PCM and you'll be fine. After you import the video, click on the track settings button in the left pane and re-set it to PCM. It'll take up a bit more disc space.
