    help with moviestar

    Help!
I started this experiment about 10 months ago. Everything was working great. Figured out all the sync problems and so on. Took a break for a while, computer then got hit by lightning! Got XP put on my system. Figured out drivers and such. Capture using the DVC150 test utility. Edit in moviestar. Then when I go to render, about 2-5 minutes into the job it locks up my whole system. Anyone have this happen? Please help! Anyone!

MS5 sucks. Capture with the test utility and keep MS5 around ( I'm afraid there might be a critical driver in one of the folders) and invest in some decent editing software (ULead Video Studeo 7 was specifically modified to accept Dazzle capture.) How did you get MovieStar if you're a new user? Pinnacle bought Dazzle and dropped support of MovieStar in August...how did you get the critical driver update to make it work? Maybe that's your problem...but don't bother running it down, the software is a discontinued line which never could work decently. Pinnacle Studio8 also works with Dazzle capture. Get something that works. Oh..I see...you got MS5 10 months ago...what...and you just got around to trying it to find that it's a piece of...um...junk?
