re-write header?

i'm using a dvd-cam from hitachi and when i copy the created VRO file to my computer it's about 1.3GB (30min recordings)

playing in mediaplayer = 57s. , but if i let it play it continues to play but without counting secs..
power dvd shows about 18 min...

wierd?

tmpegenc only goes to 18% when trying to multiplex the file..

how can i get this file working?

any ideas?

btw, the camera records to VRO files (MPEG2)

Try MPEG2VCR.
It is very tolerant to dodgy MPEGs. You may need to rename it to .mpg first though.

Just load it into the stream converter under the tools tab then run it through and save it as a program stream.

"TMPGEnc DVD Author" (Different than "TMPGEnc") will accept .VRO for input and easily create a STANDARD DVD "package" (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) for you - as well as menus and chapters, if you like.

Tmpeg dvd still shows it is only 58s stream when it's over 30min...

i don't want to make dvd, i want to make mpegs or avi's that i can use in sonic foundry vegas for rendering with effects...

some other progs that are good?
