    Muxing Programs supporting scripts...suggestions please...

Recently i could de-muxed a DVD using the "Quality DVD Backup Guide" and after the authoring process, it produced a .SCP (and a .ecl) files...as expected, but my question is:

Can i use another muxing program (besides the expensive Sonic Scenarist) that supports this scripts?

I was reading across this forum and some member suggested
Sonic DVD Architect for muxing, but after installation, i discovered
that it doesn't support any kind of scripts or elemental MPGs Streams, so Vegas Video is requested there. Anyway, my problem
    remains:

what can i do with these "ReAuthorist generated" scripts?
    Please i need some suggestion....

P.S: I already tried to compress my movie using the "DVD Shrink Guide" ,but i got to reduce streams below 60% , so, it's not an
    option...

I don't really undertand your question.
Why can't you just use the reauthorist scripts with Scenarist as that's what they are for?

Why would you want to use the scripts in another program which by the way I can tell you is impossible?

      By the way...

      ashy:

About your comment "Why would you want to use the scripts in another program which by the way I can tell you is impossible?"

Well: I didn't know those scripts are useless in another program,
      and that's why i'm asking for help...'cause i'm newbie...OK?

I think you did understood my question: i want to continue the
next steps of the quality guide-muxing my streams- but not using Scenarist(which i don't have) without a script...and i think it is possible. I read in this forum that some member
used TMPGenc DVD Author(which i already have) for muxing the video and AC3-audio streams .

Of course you can mux the streams with another program, but you will lose the format of the DVD, that is why you need the script, to build an exact replica of the DVD, but using re-encoded files.

You can certainly do it without a script using another program, but it would have to be a pretty good authoring program which supports the full DVD compliance like Scenarist does otherwise you may lose some audio tracks and/or subs and proper Menu navigation.

Also with you being a newbie I doubt you would be able to accomplish this anyway as re-authoring a commercial DVD to be exactly as the original is pretty tough stuff.
You need to know how to create Root menus and sub menu's that link to different VTS's and add chapters. You would also have to know how to recreate the PGC's within each Movie and also VOB ID's and CEll ID's.

If it is just the main movie you are interested then that is relatively simple and if that is the case then you didn't need to use re-authorist at all or the "Quality DVD Backup Guide" and any authoring program will do what you ask.

newbies or any member here telling this...oh boy...

What Iam trying to convey to you is that there is nobody in this forum that can tell you how to rebuild an exact copy of the structure of the original DVD with an authoring program without you first having some basic knowledge of how a DVD works.

Seeing as it is obvious you do not have this knowledge it would be impossible for any body in this forum to be able to explain to you how to do it in easy simple terms without having first hand experience of authoring basic DVD's.
I'm not trying to make out you are incapable of this or some sort of idiot, but trust me when I say it is a complicated process that requires many hours of research and understanding to even get the basics of DVD authoring.

What you are asking is how to author a commercial DVD which many have very complex structures.

If you don't believe what I say just make another post and ask the other members.

The best thing for you to do just to confirm what Iam saying is to download an easy to use program such as DVDlab (and this one of the easiest) and then create your own test DVD with menus and chapters and then see for your self why you need to know the basics.

Put it this way I have Scenarist and I'm able to create basic DVD structures with it. It is one of a few programs out there that is actually able to produce the full DVD compliance and is used by many hollywood studios.

My point is that even though I'm no beginner I 'STILL' find DVD authoring with Scenarist and the like VERY complicated to produce professional results like commercial DVD's. Yet there is no other way to produce these sort of DVD's, but to use these programs and I have still got a lot to learn even though I have already learned quite a bit.

Which is why I made the comment about you not being able to accomplish making a full blown commercial DVD without more knowledge.
It's just not possible for someone on this board to tell you in words here how to do it if you don't have that knowledge.
