    Video bounces on playback

    Hi!

When I capture video using my video card the video is fine when played back on the computer. When i burn it to a dvd it bounces, this also happens when i use a file i download..

    I've tried several programs
    Vegas
    Adobe
    Ulead
    Mydvd

and I get the same result, the video bounces when played from the dvd.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try using higher quality burnable DVDs - such as Ritek...

"the video bounces when played from the dvd."

Exactly what do you mean by "bounces"?

        1) Does this happen only when you play the DVD on your PC (from your burner or from a DVD-ROM), only when you play it on a standalone DVD player, or both?

        2) Have other DVDs played properly on your PC and/or your standalone DVD player?

i guess i should say the video shakes on the screen.... I can play dvd's i would rent or buy fine. In both the pc and the standalone, but when i play one i make, it's a different story. When i preview it on the computer it's fine (before i burn it). After i burn it, and go to watch it on either the standalone or the pc, the image shakes.

          THanks for your help

Then either your burner is faulty or, as I said before, try using higher quality burnable DVDs - such as Ritek...

You might try running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on your burner. Maxell makes one that retails for approximately $10US.
