Stream error in TPMG Author

Getting this error everytime at the "Output" stage now. Recording onto DVD-RW then transferring to the hard disk - no problems. Editting the clips then moving to the "output" stage. About halfway through the process I get "Stream Writing Error" This seems to happen at the halfway point regardless of the length/size of the editted clips.

Can't think that I'm doing anything different to what I did before and it's happening with various media - Maxell, Datasafe etc

It may be hardware-related. You might try using a DVD/CD cleaning disc on your burner. Maxell makes one that retails for approximately $10US...

The exact same fault occured when i was creating the dvd file and it was down to my hdd being too full.
When i deleated some old dvd files all was fine

Absolutely right! After hours of uninstalling, reinstalling, making new recordings and generally trying everything, I discovered that I had not deleted earlier recordings and the HDD was pretty nearly full

How stupid can you get
