Architect Insists on Recompressing My Menus???

    Good morning,

I am in the process of testing Sony Architect 2.0. The GUI is a pleasure and it is certainly feature rich.
The only ‘glitch’ at the moment is that the when optimizing the project Architect insists on recompressing my menus that contain video background (video only) claiming them not to be compliant.

Literature stipulates that Architect should not recompress menus as long as their format is the same as the projects and highlight masking is set to transparency. (Even with no menu masking they still don’t comply)

My menus are custom motion menus created in After Effects and compiled and rendered to MPEG 2 via Premiere Pro and Cinema Craft Encoder. The encoding is not an issue since other media items in the project appear compliant and have been encoded in exactly the fashion as the menu video.

I have gone to great lengths to establish a work flow that outputs the optimal quality MPEG2 possible on my system and don’t want Architect to mess with recompression.

    Am I missing something here?

    All thoughts most welcome.

    Cheers,

    Jay
