ok, my friend's dad has one of the new sony dvd cams...i think itst he dcr-dvd200, not really important, anyway 
he wants to edit the video on his computer, add music, do transitions, etc. however, i think that the best thing for him would be some sort of all in one package that will rip vob files and allow him to edit, add music and transitions, etc and then output to either a file or author a menu and make chapters, whatever
now, ive seen the different packages that can do this, but the problem comes from having too many pieces of software, one to rip/convert, one to edit, and one to author/burn to dvd-r. is there a program that will do that in one package? one thing i did find was pinnacle's instant dvd/cd, which will rip dvds and also edit video, but i cant tell if it's one program, and also the editor looks a bit lame (something akin to premiere i guess would suffice for his needs) - thanks
