    Audio not detected in VOB files

    hi
    i just recorded my first movie with Windows Media Edition 2005.
    The format is in MS-DVR which i had trouble finding an editing program to remove ads and so on.
    so, i used Nero Vision to make the movie into a DVD so that i can edit the vob files with TMPG Mpeg Editor

    The vob files play fine through WinDVD, but TMPG doesn't recognise any audio (AC3)

    GSpot reports the following on the vob files -

    Video Path - (S) --> MPEG-2 Demultiplexer --> InterVideo Video Decoder --> (R)

    Audio Path - (S) --> MPEG-2 Demultiplexer --> AC3Filter --> (R)

    My OS is a fresh install of WinXP MCE2005, KLite codec pack, WindDVD6 and TMPG Studio.

    thanks for any ideas.

    Don't you need to purchase an AC3 plugin for TMPGenc?

    MenuShrink can shrink your menus to 5-10% of their original size.

        It looks to me like you're taking a very convoluted route.... Maybe if you explain your source material (DV video on video cam?) and your target format, we could help you find a more direct approach...

            sorted it.
            I got nero vision to output the audio as stereo and not AC3.
            TMPG Mpeg editor worked fine.

            thanks for the help.
            still not buying a bloody plugin!
