    Plz help..

I have one more question.. very one always mentiond DVD shrink to fit files on a disc.. can you guys tell me how it works? say i just converted what was a 850 mb AVI into MPEG-2, how do i shrink it with dvd shrink and burn it.. I tried TMP, but it won't let me load, it's kinda complicated for me at this level of my experience, i'm obviously doing something wrong, but know one is over my shoulder, so its harder to learn.. But DVD Shrink sounds promising.

Also, are you guys familiar with DVDsanta, because i succesfully burned a previously large file with it, but the picture was really narrow on the screen when i played it on my dvd player, it didn't fill up the screen, there were huge black bars on the top and bottom that made the images look rectangular, narrow, really wide and unbearable.. the original file had a much larger image display..

This was posted in another thread, i copied and pasted..

sonofisis: I have moved this thread to a more appropriate forum. I have also removed most of the replies to this thread. Please be polite when replying, as that's part of the rules as well.

As for your question, DVD Shrink is for shrinking original DVDs (usually on dual layer 8.5 GB discs) to fit onto the standard DVD recordable disc (single layer 4.7 GB discs). It works by either removing content from the disc (eg. special features) or by reducing the quality of the video.

I believe the above is covered (more extensively) in the DVD Shrink FAQ section of this forum.

What you are trying to do is to convert an AVI/MPG file to a DVD, and there are plenty of software to do this (check the download section of DVD Digest). One software you could try is NeroVision Express, a demo is available here:
