    Overburning stated speed?

Does anyone know if can or how to burn DVD-R at a higher speed than stated on the disc?? eg, burn 1X at 2X. CDRs are able to burn at higher than stated, can DVD-Rs? :\

Remember that the cd-r's that you burn at a higher speed than indicated is done at your own risk. Sometimes they work, sometimes they dont, so if you really want to try it with a blank dvd, you might turn it into a coaster, so try at your own risk.
Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:

Also search on the whole Digital-Digest website:

True. But I've tried to burn at higher speed but software won't let me.
