I'm somewhat new to the DVD->DVD-R stuff, so forgive me if this is a stupid question 
I re-encoded Minority report to fit one DVD using avisynth/dvd2avi and cce. It encoded and fits on one dvd without any problems, but my question is this: Why do you need to force-film, and then use pulldown?? It seems to me like you're encoding with drop-frames and then using 3:2 pulldown to bring the fps back up to 29.97. Is there a way to aviod doing this, because even though it works and looks great, I feel like I've lost some quality, and it doesn't seem to be a smooth a playback as the original
