Error when playing disc 1

I followed the dvd backup guide and made 2 discs as described. I then placed the first disc into my dvd player and it said invalid region code. I stripped the code, however. The second disc was created the exact same way and it works fine. The disc also plays in a computer dvd drive.

Any ideas?
