    Writing image to HD problem?

    Could anyone please help me?

I am unable to copy a DVD image file to the HD. It gets about 85% of the way through and stops (between 3.7 and 4.1gb transferred)

The dvd is single layer 4.7gb. I haver tried other DVDs but I encounter the same problem

All I want to do is create copies a DVD (previously ripped from VHS).

    The Writer is a Ricoh 2.4x DVD+R.

I have the following: 900 mhz AMD, 512 ram, 40 gb HD (NTFS), Windows 2000 pro.

Tried with and without DMA enabling.

As for software, I have tried DVDdecrypter, Stomp and Mr B's gold recorder. Same problem encountered with both.

The DVDR plays DVD's no problem and in the device manager, there is no conflift.

I have tried using a partition (9.5gb) for the image file and also the main HD. Both partitions are NTFS. In addition, 95% of the HD is free.

Is this possibly a ASPI problem?

Most people have problems writing the information to DVDR disk. I would just like to get this far!

Any help regarding this subject will be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

I'd suggest Isobuster first. If that is unable to copy the contents of the DVD, your probably looking at a dirty/defective disc

Thankyou for your reply. Havn't heard of the software but I will give it a go. As for the disc's being dirty, i've tried new discs so I doubt that this is the problem. Thank you for your advice.
