I have a ripped a DVD and am taking out some extras and such and want to know what files the DVD-R NEEDS in order to function correctly. Can anyone help with this. Thanks

    Hello tillitea

This is probably not the reply you expected, but why not use DVD Shrink to remove extras and the like?
It will create the neccessary files for you.

I thought shrink could only change quality. I'll have to look into that. How do you do it manually? Thanks

DVD Shrink only compresses the movie if you want it to.
It will warn you if you choose not to compress and the resulting files will not fit on one DVD-R, but will let you choose to ignore the warning.
