    Please Help

I am a big DVD collector. In fact, I own over 600 movies. Having made this considerable investment over the past three years, I thought it was time to start making back-up copies.

    Burner: Iomega Dual DVD
    Media: Ritek DVD-R
    Software: DVD X Copy
    Home DVD Player: Panasonic DVD-S35

The back-up copies burn properly and play properly on both DVD players installed on my PC. However, they do not play on my home DVD player. Is this a media problem or a player problem?

Forgive me if this is a newbie question, I'm still learning.

    Thanks.

if your dvd player is too old, then you would have problem to play them because old dvd player would not accept dvd-r media, I would suggest you to go to a electronic store who is selling dvd players, and bring couple pcs movie (copy one) with you and play there to see what is the result from there. most likely is your dvd player problem!!

the copies do not play due to your home dvd player. i had the same problem until i got a newer one that can play mp3`s etc: my old one only played dvds+cds. hope this helps.
