Nero msg - Error 1183 empty control assignment

When I try to burn a dvd with nero I get the message
'error empty control assignment (translation from dutch)
And then the disc is ejected.
I must say I have this problem after trying to downgrade my Pioneer DVR-A04 from 1.41 to 1.30 because I could not burn 2speed with version 1.41.
Problem is: now I can't burn at all!
Can someone help me?

Try reinstalling Nero or flashing your firmware back to 1.41.

it should provide 2x burnspeed. this may also depend on the media brand used!!!

I have also read that it is not possible to downgrade firmware of this drive once updated to 1.41.... this may have caused your
problem!! but since I read this on a telecharger site I have to admit
that my french has faded a lot since I left school.....

I have learned that ORIPHUS (a member of this forum)
is an expert when it comes to reflash firmware.....
his signature also provides a link to a site that offers tools to
flash firmware..... also for your drive.........

maybe you should ask him directly in a new thread named
"TO ORIPHUS"
