Is my splitting with IfoEdit working?

I followed the guide (shown as a sticky: DVD Backup Guide Released) for backing up a DVD-5, which worked well. But now I'm trying to backup a DVD-9 by splitting it in two.

I follow carefully all the steps in the guide and when I play test the first disc on my HDD with PowerDVD 5, the last step before creating the image, it crashes when reaching the end of the last chapter before the split. Is this supposed to be normal or am I doing, most likely, something wrong?

yes, there is something wrong. it shouldn't crashed. here are the steps...

1. RIP in BACKUP mode (SMARTRIPPER) or DVD Decrypter
2. Test the movie using your PowerDVD to make sure it plays fine. You don't have to watch the whole movie, just check it to make sure it plays fine
3. Now, split it with IFOEDIT...make sure you are selecting the right IFO file to split
4. Again, test both disc 1 & disc 2 to make sure
5. Burn with any burner program (i.e. NERO)
