Help With VHS to DVD+R??

I would like to transfer many commercial VHS tapes to DVD+R, i currently have DVD+R burner in my HP computer. I would like to see if anyone knows how to go about doing this, and which hardware/software required. I currently have 321 Studios DVDX platinum software for my burning needs. I also have a standalone Phillips DVD burner for the TV. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
