I just wanted to thank everyone here, by reading all of your posts and replys my first DVD copy went off without a hitch.
I used DVD SHRINK and NERO to copy The Italian Job. I made a copy on a DVD+RW for a practice copy then a DVD+R for the final.
Both copies worked on my PS2 but only the +R worked on my stand alone, it's a Panasonic DVD-A120. Thanks again.
