Compatibility issues

I have burned home videos with Nero 5.5. Works fine on PC and Samsung but cannot edit menus.
Then I have used Ulead Dvd factory in oerder to create menus, add slideshows etc. I have burned a Dvd-. Works fine on PC but not on the Samsung. I have tried to create an image tru Ulead and then burn it tru Nero, same issue. Any idea what I could try now please ?

What kind of disk did you use to burn? (a DVD-r or DVD-rw)

Funny enough the one working is a -rw. The 2 that dont work are -r
