On the second disc the scene selection does not work correctly

Hope you can help a newby:

When I copy a DVD-9 to 2 DVD-Rs on the second disc the scene selection via the menu does not work correctly: Lets say the DVD-9 has 20 chapters. The first DVD-R contains 15 and the second DVD-R 5 chapters. When I choose chapter 16 (on the second disc) I do not get chapter 16 but when I choose chapter 1 (which should be on the first disc). Also I get chapter 17, when I choose chapter 2...

On the first disc everything is all right.

What is wrong?

1) What software and procedures are you using to split this DVD?

2) Have you tried (FREEWARE) DVD Shrink instead, to compress the DVD and copy it onto ONE DVD-R? You'll be pleasantly surprised at the quality...

Hi setarip:

1) I use the latest version of IfoEdit according to the guide "Copy a DVD-9 to 2 DVD-Rs".

2) I do not want to compress the DVD.

DVD Shrink will also split to two DVD's. You have to choose a end chapter for disc one, then process it. Then start at the next chapter for disc two and process that.

Have you tried DVDFAB to split the disc on two DVD's/

I tried DVDFAB for splitting. But there is a menu on disc one only. Disc two has no menu.

What have I to change in the IFO(s) (with IfoEdit) that the scene selection will work correctly on disc two? Has anybody an idea?
