Error "The media is not rewritable.........."

Hi.

Just bought myself a Philips DVDRW416 - appears pretty neat.
Using ULead DVD Pictureshow 2 to burn some music videos into a slide show. Works fine...

Problem occurs when I try to erase the Philips DVD+RW disk afterwards. This software and Nero both think the RWs aren't rewritable!!

No problem with stuff burnt through Nero so far. Anyone got any ideas?

I have had the same problem with a Philips+RW and Nero. I have a LG 4040B burner.

The weird thing is my Dad has the same drive and nero version. He managed to erase it just fine. He burned it for me, and I use it as a +R.

Try the latest Nero or DVDInfoPro. I managed to erase it once but not since then.
