Please could someone help me with my problem.I recently bought an msi 8 speed dvd burner for my pc and have tried to burn some dvd-r's.I have authored the dvd on dvd shrink 2.3,generally omitting the menu and extras and encoding the main film.I also have started the movie after the titles and ended it before the lists of actors etc.I also encode with region free ticked.I have had no problems with the process and I have backed up to my hard drive and the back up files have been stored in video ts as .vob files e.g video ts 01 1,video ts 01 2 etc.(each file being +/- 1gig).I then burn the dvd- r via nero burning rom selecting new dvd,then data dvd ,then dragging the 4 or 5 vts files across to the iso window prior to burning.I then burn the disk.All of this works fine and I can then play the disk on my pc via power dvd ,however I can't play the disk on my panasonic s35 stand alone dvd player.I have contacted panasonic and they are sure that the dvd player plays dvd-r.
Please could someone advise as to what I am doing wrong,or if I am using the wrong format.
