There are varying opinions on whether burning at 1x as opposed to 2x or 4x produces higher quality finished movie dvd's.
My question is would a copy burned at 2x on 4x media, be any better than burned at 2x on 2x media? Or would it make no difference (ie. is the quality of 4x media no better than 2x)?
I have a 4x pioneer 105 burner, that has playback issues after burning at 4x on cheaper media. Would I really gain much by paying more for quality 4x media, or would reducing the write speed and using good quality 2x media work as well? (seeing as 2x is cheaper than 4x within brands).
Any opinions?
