after burning to dvd+/-r it skips 10 secs.

after i have used dvd shrink and i have burned my back-up dvd
it skips about 10 seconds every now and then.

what can i do to solve this

it plays on my computer like a charm, but when i put in my dvd player the skipping starts in some scenes.

1) Try different (perhaps higher qualty) media

2) Try running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on your standalone player. Maxell makes one that retails for approximately $10US
