    Ddw-081

    Hey there everyone,

Just had a question for all.
    Recently ordered a DVD-RW (DDW-081).
Installed it into the chassis, and installed all bundled sofware
    accordingly.
(I'm usign Windows XP, which it says it is designed for)

    My problem is this:
Whenever I put any media into the DVD drive, it won't recognize anything. Music CD's, CD-R's, CD-RW's, DVD's, DVD-R's... nothing.. it just think that there is NOTHING in the drive.

I've turned DMA on (mode 2)
    I've tried updating the firmware
I've tired getting drivers from the developer
I've tried setting it as master/slave (both Promary and Secondary)
I've tried instakking the bundled software, Also Roxio, and also Nero and Padus
    I've tried pretty much everything.

    Anyone know what's wrong?
Should I send the piece of crap back?

    Probably trying way to hard,

Does your system recognize the drive?

Well, when I go to "My Computer''
It DOES in fact show that the drive is there... and it will say something to the effect of "DVD/RW Drive (F".. and when I right-click on that, I can go to 'Eject' and it'll even open the Disc tray.. so I think my system does recognize it, it's just the DRIVE won't recognize any media that I put into it.
I even messed around in the 'Properties' and gave it a Regional Setting (of 1 - for USA)... and still no action.
