    burning w/2 dvd players

can one burn, commercial dvd's or otherwise, directly from a dvd reader to a dvd writer thereby avoiding dumping anything onto a hard drive? if so, how and with which program?

Not as far as I know regarding commercial DVDs. The commercial DVD must first be decrypted/"ripped" (remove copy protection)...

The latest version of DVDShrink will do the rip and burn in one process. It does save the ripped movie in a temp are on the HD during the process but is not needed once complete.

If 'Shrink rips while simultaneously burning (on another drive), it would be prudent to wait until more bug fixes are in or untile final "Beta" is released to lessen the amount of coasters.
