    icons for bup,ifo, vob change when put in project window

    I am using nero 6.0.0.13 to backup some films. When I drop the neccessary files into the project window the icons all change to the same type ( a small music note symbol) after burning the films will not playback using power dvd but will on windows media player.
    Any ideas anyone???

      You should first upgrade to the latest version. 6.3.0.3 That version you have is probably a bit buggy.
      However you need to use the DVD-video mode and put all your DVD files into the red VIDEO_TS folder.

          I am following the right procedures

          Hi Ashy. I am definately in dvd_video mode and I am dropping the files into the right folder. This problem is happening on a brand new laptop I have bought with this software built in. I have been using nero 5.5.10.42 with my pioneer 106 with no flaws what so ever. I tried installing this version on my laptop and everythin seemed okay, but I want to stay with the most current version of Nero. I have had a look at nero's website. Can I just download pack one for nero burning rom upgrade to 6.3 about 23MB
