hi just wondering if ne1 could help me. i want to make a copy of the following 4 movies: saving private ryan, dogma, and enemy of the state. the discs could just be damaged but looking at them they look ok. when i use shrink to either add the main movie to my project or when decrypting an error comes up that reads" dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
    failed to read file "E:\"
    data error (cyclic redundancy check).

    thanks

The C.R.C. error plagues many. The solution to many of such errors are in the threads. Besides the physically clean disc (rule # 1 of ripping), read the C.R.C. threads and read some of my (and others) solutions.

A CRC error indicates that there's a problem with the physical DVD (scratched, dirty, Peanut Butter and Jelly) that DVD Shrink cannot resolve. First, try cleaning the DVD. If DVD Shrink still generates this error:

Use DVD Decrypter to "rip" the DVD to your hard drive in "File" mode - and from the "Edit" dropdown menu, select "All files" (NOT "movie files").

Then use DVD Shrink to "Open files" (NOT "Open Disk") - and select "VIDEO_TS.IFO"
