    compressing a DIVX encoded movie

I have a 576,000 MB copy of neil youngs "Rust Never Sleeps" concert film, encoded DIVX 5.05..when i pull it into Arcsoft Showbiz to burn to DVD, it converts files into 6.4 GIG file.

Tried reencoding as MPEG 1&2 w/TMPEGENC and files was even larger then than when i started

is there an easy way to shrink the existing 576,000MB file down, so when i insert into ARCSOFT its < 4.7 GIG's?

    TIA!

sorry not sure what you mean...i don't burn a 6.4 gig file, ARCSOFT just shows me that before I burn this movie, the out put is going to be 6.4 gigs...i at this point close out arcsoft, as i don't want it spread over 2 dvd's

maybe i'm missing something..........could u elaborate?..are u saying take the divx file and compress w/shrink?..if so how?

      thanx

Save the 6.4Gb file (Actually it will be a SET of DVD-compliant files) to a folder on your hard drive. Then use DVD Shrink to compress...
