    Filesizes Adaptec AVC 2210 MyDVD

    I captured a analog 8mm video with Adaptec AVC-2210 and MyDVD 4.5
At the end the filesize is 3730.4MB
Looking at the properties of my file with I found the same file size .
But in the left lower corner of MyDVD I found the following info: DVD 4.7 GB 0.0 remaining. After a click on remaining I read 6.19 GB used. That is not true, because I “used” only 3.7GB

Why does the capture stop with a filesize of 3730.4 MB but needs 6.19GB to burn it? The red button “burn” to make the DVD is greyed out and not available.
What can I do, the file of 3730 MB should fit in the DVD, it is only 1hour and 33minutes in the lowest quality.
Where can I select more options in MyDVD besides the 3 qualities of good, better, best?
In the option capture direct to DVD I had simmilar difficulties:
After preparing all configuration there was space on the 4.7GB DVD+R for 2hours and 24min, but immediately after starting the capture, the info changed to: available 1hour 42min and recorded 0min. With this change of course the video does not fit on the DVD

    Thanks all for help.

"At the end the filesize is 3730.4MB"

Assuming that the file is a DVD-compliant MPEG-2 file, you should be able to load it into and use "TMPGEnc DVD Author" (a different program than "TMPGEnc") to easily create the required additional DVD files and structure (and chapters and a menu, if you wish)

**If the combined filesize of the DVD "package" written to your hard drive is greater than 4.37Gb, use DVD Shrink (or similar) to compress

If your O/S is either Win2000 or WinXP, TMPGEnc DVD Author can also burn your DVD. Otherwise, use NERO to burn in "DVD-Video" mode
(As an alternative to "TMPGEnc DVD Author", you could use "DVDLab")
