Dvd backup pixelated error at end of disc

Hi, I'm using DVD X Copy Express. The movies copy great but towards the end I get a pixelated skipping and then the movie just freezes. But it only occurs at the end of the movie.

    Any help on this issue?

    thanx

    What discs are you using?

The main cause is bad media. Try to use Ritek made media. I have also had excellent results with Maxell and JVC.

A temporary way out that usually works is to reduce the file size about 200-300 MB. Therefore, you don't get to the edge of the disc (that is the part that is causing the problem).

I have been having the exact same problem and i was wondering if it had to do with the media or the drive itself. Thanks nwg for clearing that up. I will try a different kind of media and see how that works.

No problem. Getting the right media with the right drive can be difficult.

I was lucky, I started with the right media and a decent drive at the beginning.

well, changing the media sure fixed the problem for me. I even used a DVD+RW and that worked aswell.

So using the right media is certainly the way to go.

I ended up using 'Imation' DVD-R. no problems.

          thanx for the advice NWG.

            I find DVD RW's better than -/+R's.

At the moment I am using +RW's. I also have the ability to erase anything I don't want anymore and reuse the disc. Or I can just copy the data on to the computer, then reuse the disc and then copy the data back later.

Due to a misprice, the discs turned out the same price as a +R.
