hello im new to the forum and im having a bit of a prob backing up my dvds... im using dvd shrink(with nero 6 installed) i have updated my win aspi drivers using force aspi (4.60). i have a little amd duron 700 system with 256 meg of ram and im using a liteon ldw 451s burner. one i have backed up my copy i get macro blocks during the film this gave me hump so bad i formatted my system and started again. now i get macro blocks at the end of a film???? any help would be really appreiiated

Does your movie play blocky from your hard drive in a software player (WinDVD/PowerDVD)?

hi sfheath and thanks for your reply, i was due for my annual reformatte anyway.... i answer to your question i never tried to play from the hard drive mate i just tried to burn it to a ritek go4 purple dvd+r....

Ah it's worth checking for soundtracks, video quality etc by 'playing from folder' mind, not simply playing the VOB.
That way, you can see what kind of quality you should get if the media is going to burn ok.
And/or ... using a RW
