Is there any difference with the quality of dvd's burned via external writer with usb 2 compared to internal drive?
is there any problems that can occur with exrernal writer?

I've used my external for over 6 month's out of necessity (laptop's only at home),and mine works perfectly......knock wood.

Quality is the same-no issue's via USB 2 or firewire (i've used both cables).
